This is a reduction relief print I did about a year ago. I forgot about it even though its been hanging on my door this whole time I made it by cutting a 2.5 ft by 1.5 ft printing block. First cutting away what was going to be white-print 5 copies in blue - cut away what's going to stay blue - print 5 copies on same paper in green - cut away what's going to stay green etc etc until your left with 5 prints of a multi-colored dragon and one pretty sad looking piece of wood. So I only have 5 copies of it.. ever. I may sell em on ebay, I dunno.
I actually thought the wood was easier to cut than linoleum.. This was special printing wood though, I didnt butcher my hands at all like I usually did with the Linoleum.

That's gorgeous! The wings look beautiful. But to the right of the wing that's on the left of the picture it looks like there's a little design or something. Just awesome work I always see from you.
hmm i dunno! We did have to put a rubber stamp design somewhere on the piece and mine's actually on the bottom left hand side (its a little moon with wings) Is that what youre seeing? Otherwise Im not sure, There are a lot of smudgings and variations that happen in the printing process though, and they sometimes leave little surprises everywhere

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
