Wow, I could not figure out what category to put this under..
edit: figured it out! tricky DA category system..

Okami! greatest game ever invented. I finally finished it two weeks ago and then couldn't help but buy the complete art book. mmmm So many beautiful illustrations to drool over. After looking through it I was inspired to do this!

Shiranui! I loved her extra whispies and red markings. Maybe I'll make Ammy and Issun or even Oki :heart: at another time.

This was one of my first attempts at inking with a brush. I wanted to conserve the style that makes Okami so eye-catching so I used sumi ink. I then used watercolor pencils for color and white Prismacolor pencils for the white fur. I then added some textures to make it look like it was on old silk or parchment.

Anyway, sorry for all the fanart I've been posting lately guys! I'm currently working on some OC stuff so look for that in the near future! :3 In the meantime, fanart is fun and I'm having a good time with it. :iconx3v2plz:

it looks so vibrant.. you've really captured okami's style. (i don't play the game, but my friends are fans so i see them play sometimes)
