A long overdue tribute to Fey in all her walking glory. She loves to stroll and Ichi and Nii are always nearby to lend a helping talon or beak so she doesn't trip over all that fabric. I think she's wandering off to find a more shady spot to nap. I've wanted to do a digital painting again for a long time but have never had the patience. Watercolor is just so much faster for me, I don't really know how digital painters do it. I guess I just don't really know the technique for it so it takes me forever building up layers. This took me a really long time and a lot of frustration but it's done. I actually wanted to spend a lot more time on it but I needed it done tonight in order to send it out to be printed for the Alternative Press Expo in San Francisco. I don't mind the unfinished bits though. I was inspired by Alphons Mucha's Summer and added a dash of Rococo for a dreamy flare (thank you art history) I'm going to sell prints of it at APE and I like it so much I'm making a larger print for myself to hang above my bed in a nice intricate frame. I need more stuff for my walls so I'm excited. :3 Done in Photoshop. Textures from cgtextures.com. Brushes from *redheadstock Artwork, Fey and company belong to me! There are some people who live in a dream world, and there are some who face reality; and then there are those who turn one into the other.
