Duplicates of this piece are for sale in my journal!


A little project I've been wanting to do for a while. It's made up of 4 paper cut-outs layered inside of a shadow box. The box/frame measures about 5 inches high, 7 inches wide and is about 3.5 inches deep.
Each piece has been inked and watercolored on stiff Strathmore watercolor paper. I used a super tiny knife to cut the pieces out before glueing and layering them inside of the frame.

I've made prints of each piece and will be selling duplicates of these boxes at the Alternative Press Expo in SF in November. :3 They're time consuming to cut so I'll only have a few of each. Fun times!

Waiting for wishes to come true can take a long time. Kyo decided to take a nap while he waits. :3 I tried my best to get the colors to match up with the original as best I could. It's still a little off though. :B

Wow! Beautifully done! Your work is always so detailed! The shadow box definitely gives it depth!
Btw, love your emblem/symbol/stamp/whatever the proper name for it is... ! XD

lol Thanks! I've had that stamp for a while (I put it on the back of my shirts) and finally decided that I should start using it for water-marking. :P

Thanks! It was hard to tell on the first full-on photograph so I struggled with trying to get different angles so you could see the layers XD
