 I've been working on this piece on and off for the past few months ever since I saw they were having a contest on DA for revisiting old images. I'm mad at myself for having that being the only reason to start drawing Eli and Rupert again but I'm glad I did because.. I really missed them ;_; For those of you who weren't watching me 2 and a half years ago, this image is a re-make of this one: [link] Doesn't it SUCK?? OMG I sucked back then. Looks like crap. Yup. I think this is how I've always wanted Eli to look. I hope I can keep being consistent in the future because I really like how his face turned out. I'm not so jazzed about how Rupert turned out. He looks a bit too big and his face looks a but funny but oh well.. you take the good with the bad.  Inked with sakura micron pens and painted with watercolors and white ink on 10" by 14.5" watercolor paper. Eli and Rupert belong to me! Please do not use or take without my consent. Comments  i think both versions are lovely (old and new), but the new one does sort of hold a different feeling to it. the expression on the boys face, along with the playful pose of the cat make it a more fun image. -- I was pondering the immortal words of Socrates who said, "I DRANK WHAT?!"  oh wow, i mean i love the other one but this is awesome!!!
eli and rupert are such cool characters!   oh no! this is so adorable! eli is drawn very well, and his pose looks so lively. great work, sweetie. <3

 I think both are nice.
This is more detailed but the other one also have that...feeling...or something that makes it lovely. Yup...both are great. oh and...sorry for my bad and poor english... -- "...Y entonces te gritaré mientras te escupo sangre."  i think both versions are beautiful. but isn't it amazing how much you can progress in a year or 2
