A WIP for a commission I'm currently working on. It will be a 36" by 24" watercolor of Eli and Rupert having a lovely evening of music and grilled flutter fish XD
I'm particularly fond of the flying toad in the front. How useless is that genetic adaptation?? LOL Stupid toad...
Looks nice :3 That toad is pretty cute... (why doesn't he just fly back onto the branch ;_
One thing, I'm not sure you want any crits but since this is a WIP I thought I'd try... something about the background seems a little unbalanced. Oh I know what it is, on one half you have the forest receeding into the distance and the sunset, and on another half you have the bushes and stuff looking pretty large. If you follow the perspective you've laid out in the right half you'll see that the forest on the left side should follow those same rules... at parts the bushes look really full and large but they should be lower on the horizon and more obscured? argh sorry I don't know how to say this with the right art words D: But uh... just draw a line under your horizon line and see if it matches, maybe I'm just reading your sketch lines wrong
no you're totally right! I started on the left half and had a different idea for perspective and then changed my mind on the right side and decided to put them on a higher level and now the two sides don't match XD I figured I'd fix it on the larger piece. Good eye catching it though! I appreciate the crit cuz well.. I suck at backgrounds and perspective hardcore D: I don't know why either, it's such an easy concept!

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
