This was an attempt at an ambitious piece for my portfolio for Grad School. I decided to make some quilts. This is one I did depicting a scene from Aesop's fable "The Fox and the Crow". See the cheese??

Actual quilted fabric, cut and hand hand-sewn by me. The background piece was a pillow case I bought from Ross (Or T.J. Max). It measures 27" by 23" and is accented with fabric pens, sharpies and acrylic paint. Oh and cute wittle buttons for eyes! 83

I will never sew again. Not for long time anyway. I have so many needle pricks on my fingers ;_; Plus it took FOREVER.
Anyways, I hope it looks alright and is "unique" enough to get me at least a nod from the school. Bleh..

Thanks! I greatly admire quiltists now. I had no idea how much time it took just to sew along a straight line. It seriously took hours! D: One day I want to become good enough to make my own blanket though. :3 Quilts are so beautiful!

I know! It looks like a cake or a pie to me too XD I questioned whether or not to use that striped fabric but it was one of the only yellow colors I had. lol We'll say it's cheesecake. ;D

This is awesome, it makes me want to try something like this!!! I like how there are so many techniques all jumbled together, it just looks amazing ^^ LOVE IT!

Thank you! It's always fun trying new things. I learned a lot with this project. One of those things being that fabric is less forgiving than I thought and that fabric glue is my best friend for life. XD
