I bought The Little Prince from Border's the other day and I finally had time to read it yesterday. OMG! So cute and so sad!! It seemed really deep for a children's book but I think that's what I loved most about it. I can only hope I can create a children's book as inspiring as this one.
This image is my tribute to the author and illustrator of Le Petit Prince; Antoine De Saint-Exupery. The Little Prince reminded me a little bit of Eli. So here you have it! Eli playing the role as the little prince at the start of his journey. I had to alter his outfit to match the little prince's. XD I based the image on THIS illustration from the book. Since I was staring at it while drawing this, I think the style rubbed off a tad and Eli came out looking a little different than usual.  Oh well. Done in pencil, ink, watercolor and white gel-pen. Le Petit Prince belongs to Antoine De Saint-Exupery Eli and Rupert belong to me.  |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure.
