I bought The Little Prince from Border's the other day and I finally had time to read it yesterday. OMG! So cute and so sad!! It seemed really deep for a children's book but I think that's what I loved most about it. I can only hope I can create a children's book as inspiring as this one.

This image is my tribute to the author and illustrator of Le Petit Prince; Antoine De Saint-Exupery.

The Little Prince reminded me a little bit of Eli. So here you have it! Eli playing the role as the little prince at the start of his journey. I had to alter his outfit to match the little prince's. XD
I based the image on THIS illustration from the book. Since I was staring at it while drawing this, I think the style rubbed off a tad and Eli came out looking a little different than usual. :P Oh well.

Done in pencil, ink, watercolor and white gel-pen.
Le Petit Prince belongs to Antoine De Saint-Exupery
Eli and Rupert belong to me. :heart:

I had actually drawn and painted part of it before I realized that I had forgotten to put kitty Rupert in there somewhere. >_> I'm glad I was able to add him somehow :D
